Quote I once had a Tibetan Buddhist boyfriend who had a Tibetan Buddhist teacher named Lama Yeshe. When he—the Lama—was dying of a heart failure, he said that if he’d waited until he was sick to practice meditation and kindness, it would have been too hard; he was in too much pain. But because he’d spent years practicing when he wasn’t in pain, love itself (for himself, for all beings) was automatic. His mind was already grooved by kindness; the path was well traveled. “Practice now,” he told my boyfriend, “so that when it gets hard, you already know the way.” As I was sitting on the couch in my studio, I understood that this moment was why I’d been practicing all these years. That I’d been meditating and doing inquiry and watching my mind so that when I faced a situation like this, the truth of kindness could burn through the kicking and shoving and have its way with me. ~Geneen Roth~ Blog The Sufi’s have a phrase, “Die before you die.” Life is a series of practices that help you learn how to let go, move into acceptance, and understand that contentment is not about your body but about how you are aligned inside with your soul. Pain is transient and moves through a bit at a time. You are not the pain you are experiencing, you are having an experience of pain. Pain is always about something in the density realms trying to move through, whether that is an emotion, a belief, a projection, etc. It is the dynamic of life to have moments where you are required to let go of energies that are draining your life-force. Death is the ultimate letting go of the physical plane and moving in to the energy domains of consciousness. So today, practice letting go of what you are so attached to. Trust that what is truly yours will come to you. ~Suzanne Wagner~ Video Learning to let go and How it Will Change Your Life https://youtube/watch?v=Mz9SIJGNw7U
