RACE #7 BANNON 4 SILENT TREAT 1 KARATS FOR ME 5 ADJALA ANGEL 10 IRON RING MISS KARATS FOR ME committed to a speed style against the bias July 14th and understandably faded late in a six and a half furlong event; when she had the bias in her favour two starts ago, she won easily at six furlongs; she is shortening to just five furlongs here but must overcome the difficult inside post; Rosie Jana also likes to use a speed style. BEEZIE is without momentum but came off the shelf July 7th and had some early speed before retreating; she shortens to five furlongs. RUE DE JEAN competed last week at Fort Erie on turf and was not a factor; she took her only career win on this surface at this distance last December. SILENT TREAT had a frustrating trip last time and is looking to be more productive here with the shift to Poly track; two starts ago, she was runner up and closing against Lynnessa who was in the feature tonight; she worked recently in 48.4 for Scott Fairlie; she has plenty of speed to chase in this race. ADJALA ANGEL won at five furlongs June 26th using a deep closing style at 35-1; that was a relatively new style for her and it worked perfectly; she has been busy with recent works getting ready for this for Robert Gerl. MOLLY MORRIS should add to the speed of this event; in her latest on turf against a key winner, she gave up positions late. ROSIE JANA is noted for her quick burst of speed; three starts ago, she opened up a clear advantage and went all the way; most recently, she was trying seven furlongs and went too quickly early with a half in 44.4 and understandably faltered out of the money; she came back with a work with Stein aboard June 29th and he takes over at just five furlongs. THESIGNOFTHEANGEL was perfectly handled by Contreras to win June 26th when coming off the shelf and dropping down sharply; she was positioned perfectly at the top of the stretch with momentum and opened up for her initial win. ROCKET COLLEEN stumbled at the break two starts ago but recovered and finished third to keep her streak of good races going; most recently however, she was behind in double digits behind a dominant winner. IRON RING MISS was sharp in her debut with a middle speed style; she was beaten by Adjala Angel in that event; most recently, she won in front at five furlongs in her second start in what was a big improvement; she goes five furlongs here from the widest post.
