** RADIOLOGY TECH(GEN DIAG)HOSPIT ** Geisinger Health System - Wilkes-Barre, PA Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center Work Schedule: Evenings - Includes Rotation of Weekends & Holidays Work Type :Full Time ________________________________________ JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiological examinations, for setting up and adjusting related equipment and devices, and for maintaining related records. Reports directly to the Team Leader of General Diagnostic Radiology or Lead Technical Specialist COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: ▪ Demonstrates competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills (interpersonal/communication and technological effectiveness competencies). ▪ Demonstrates ability to work independently. ▪ Demonstrated an understanding of medical terminology and computer skills required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: ▪ Graduate of a JRC approved radiology technology program. ARRT registered or registry eligible. Must have current CPR. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ▪ Work is typically performed in a tertiary care center on both house patients and clinic patients. ▪ Requires ability to push stretcher/wheelchairs, and to lift, slide, move, or assist patients from stretcher/wheelchair for positioning. ▪ Requires transporting portable imaging equipment to various rooms for exams.
