RAILA ODINGA tells UHURU/ RUTO to go to hell with their pension - he doesn’t need it - he is in politics to stay. Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, has reiterated his earlier stand that he is in politics to stay and that come 2017 he will be on the ballot. Speaking in Oyugis Town last Friday during a meet-the-people tour, the CORD leader noted that not even attempts by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to push him out of politics by denying him his pension will cow him. The former PM told Uhuru/ Ruto to keep his pension to themselves if they so wish because he doesn’t need it in the first place and that he will never resign from politics because his eyes are on the Presidency come 2017. “Even if they refuse to give me my pension as former PM thinking I will stop politicking, let them stay with it. I am in politics forever”, said Raila. Raila noted that his focus right now is to ensure devolution works and that his major aim is to see to it that the 24 CORD Counties are developed and the lives of their residents improved. “Recently I took a number of CORD Governors to look for investors in US and I am sure that Homa Bay County under the leadership of Cyprian Awiti has started realizing our effort”, he said.
