RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Israeli border guards shot and killed a Palestinian youth at Container checkpoint northeast of Bethlehem, in the second deadly shooting in 12 hours. Anas Fouad al-Atrash, aged 23, from al-Khalil was shot dead overnight. Israeli forces claimed that al-Atrash tried to stab a soldier at the Container checkpoint.Eyewitnesses said ambulances rushed to the area as Israeli forces shut down the checkpoint.Al-Atrashs father, Fuad, said they stopped my two sons at the checkpoint and they were waiting to be checked. Then the soldiers came to the car and opened the door, when my son tried to get out they shot him. The brother was arrested, he added. Hours earlier, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man at the Zaatara checkpoint in southern Nablus, claiming that he shot at soldiers using an air pistol.
