RAMBO Rest in Peace Rambo sadly had to be euthanised last night. An emergency trip to the after hours vets could do nothing to help him, with no option but to euthanise so that he could be at peace. We are totally gutted. Rambo was a sweet little guy who won our hearts and warmed our beds. He was an absolute joy to have in our care and has left us all in deep sadness that we hadnt found him his home before he passed. So Rambo will always stay one of us, forever in the hearts of the AFNC Carers who were lucky enough to have this little dude brighten our homes, and the people he enthralled at adoption days where he totally worked the crowd. I personally adored Rambo, and am deeply grieving his passing. This was a boy that had such a healthy attitude, was well balanced and knew his place in the world. The night he came into care he jumped on my bed with the other dogs, presented himself at the edge of my doona and demanded I lift it. So of course, I did and he immediately squiggled his way under the covers into my body and stayed there content until I woke up. He loved the car, he loved everything as long as he could share it with you. Even though he wasnt adopted, he absolutely was loved as he completely had my heart and his sudden departure for me personally is devastating. We brought him home and buried him, with the kids writing cards that were buried with him and then made a gorgeous rock decoration including a heart shaped rock, shells, flowers, dog statue they made and coloured sand. Ive been sitting and watching the glow of his candle, the flame dancing as its quite windy, but burning strong. This is how Rambo will always be... Burning strong in my heart. Goodbye Rambo you beautiful little man. Trine xx
