RANT So, Sony pictures is not releasing the Interview due to concerns over threats of terrorism or some such nonsense. People have been expressing their upset over this, and yet are still going in droves to see the holiday releases at the theaters - the very source of the complaints Sony pictures was getting. The theater chains are the ones whining about this and Sony is reacting to them. So, stop going to the theaters and teach the theater chains a lesson. Now, apparently Paramount has gotten into the act by not letting the Alamo Draft house theaters run the already on disc Team America movie, which skewers North Korea and so many other things as well. Oh for the days when the movie companies owned the theaters and stand up guys like Jack Warner would have anti Nazi movies on the shooting schedule and no one gave him any crap about it except the appeasers - whose opinions didnt count to Jack. Instead, We have slugs like yesteryears Fred Quimby at MGM, who during the war told animator Tex Avery to go easy on the anti Nazi stuff because they might win. Come on you weak sisters at the theaters, Sony and Paramount, put this lame ass Seth Rogan sludgefest on the screens and be brave.
