REACTION to EMIR of KANOs PASSING AWAY (submitted by Bankole Dotun) Actually, I am not suprised about this rancour sorounding the emergence of a new Emir Of Kano. It will be rather difficult to determine a man that will fit into the shoes of the late Alh. Ado Bayero. A just man. Highly accomodating. He was so civilized in all spheres of life, even in his religious pursuit. This had translated to the development we have witnessed in Kano during his lifetime. This man was so detribalised he even installed people of other tribes and cultural background into his cabinet. I wonder what the fate of these people will be now that he has gone. No wonder he, Ado Bayero, had one of the largest crowds gathered for his burial rites. Adieu! A Great Ado Bayero, late Emir Of Kano. I pray that the Lord grant the Emirate the wisdom to choose and install a good man, who will build on what the late Ado Bayero did in his life time. Amen. How do you remember the late Emir of Kano?
