READER QUESTION: My son has just turned one and LOVES to climb. I have to supervise him 24-7 right now because he has figured out how to climb out of his crib and play-pen. I am wondering how I can keep him safe for a few minutes while I go to the bathroom or put in a load of laundry ( right now he comes with me everywhere at at 32 inches 29 lbs my back is killing me from carrying him around all day). Weve also had to move him to a mattress on the floor in our bedroom to ensure hes not going to get hurt climbing out of his crib. I am also looking for ideas or activities or toys, that would allow him to climb safely as there seems to be no stopping him. Hopefully if he has a safe place to climb, he will not climb everything else. I would be interested in hearing other moms experiences with climbers.
