Harvey wanted his wings Red Bull doesn’t he just wants a home and a person or two. He’s nervous, but starting to blossum, showing real signs of the wonder dog you could help him become. He enjoys hugs and snuggles, a real lap dog in waiting. This handsome pup has a gorgeous, silky golden coat and a bright alert gaze. A small abscess in the shoulder is being treated and is easy to fix. Despite that, and the distressing situation he finds himself in, he conducts himself as fitting for an angel in training. A volunteer writes: Wishful thinking….Red bull, our young black mouth, will have to consume a lot of the drink he wears the name of, to become valiant….His coat is red and silky, his beautiful eyes are dreamy, scared or alert. His weight is decent although I see the hint of ribs.His ebony nails are long. An abscess that we are treating is present on his upper chest. Red bull is coming slowly out of his shell. When I first met him, he did not want to come out of his kennel and even hid ….under it.Never did I hear a growl.Never did he try to nip me. Once in a pen, he would immediately head for under a bench. He is now sitting at his door and leashed easily. Red bull walks well on the leash and eliminates as we go. He seems a little wary of dogs who are too pushy and will still jump at sudden noises, looking for an exit or a place to hide. He is much more comfortable with me and very much likes to be caressed. He cries still quite a bit. Holding him tight and petting him relieves his distress. He now comes tentatively on the bench and onto my lap for bonding time. Red bull is moving slowly but surely in the right direction although he is still scared for obvious but also unknown reasons to us. I hope that soon enough, he will feel more comfortable and be ready to move in, as a forever best friend, with the new owner or family who will believe in him and love him to pieces.
