REMEMBER when you are struggling in your day to day life pull out those tools and helpful resources that are especially for these times. I am also finding that we need to get a little more creative with how we deal with our reactions / responses / issues... the old ways just arent as efficient as they used to be. The first thing that MAY help you is to feel for whether your current struggle is based in a more mental or emotional aspect. Even if there are things around you in your life that youre struggling with, it will usually affect you in either of those ways. And sometimes both emotions and mind get swept in together pretty quickly. SUGGESTIONS: To deal with more MENTAL focused issues -- -- Distract yourself with something creative, something playful, something that will get your mind off this issue. It can be easy to fall into a negative thinking spiral if you allow it to. It can be challenging to focus on meditation if your issue is quite mentally focused. And you can assume things. Positive affirmations can help. To deal with more EMOTIONAL focused issues -- -- Journal writing, soaking in the tub, going gently. Cry, feel and allow that emotional energy to move and flow for you. Gentle meditation can help, as well as gentle walking, conversing in a safe place and using positive affirmations.
