REPAIRED DREAM They said to one another, “Surely we are being punished because of our brother. We saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us for his life, but we would not listen; that’s why this distress has come on us.” 22 Reuben replied, “Didn’t I tell you not to sin against the boy? But you wouldn’t listen! Now we must give an accounting for his blood.” 23 They did not realize that Joseph could understand them, since he was using an interpreter. 24 He turned away from them and began to weep, but then came back and spoke to them again. He had Simeon taken from them and bound before their eyes. Genesis 42:21-24 NIV In our Moment of Grace thought today we find Joseph elevated to a position of authority in Egypt, the most powerful nation of that time. His brothers are at his mercy! Will Joseph seek revenge? Will Joseph make them grovel and beg? Joseph had kept his attention on God’s plan for his life all those years. He would not let petty feelings of unforgiveness creep into his heart. The dream of brothers and father bowing before Joseph came to fruition. What can we learn about repairing a dream? Allow Holy Spirit to guide our thinking and actions. Character is being built in each of us. We are promised that Father God will perfect that which concerns us! You are a masterpiece being created! Aren’t we destined for a throne? Repaired dreams are God’s specialty! PRAYER: Father God, thank You for taking my broken life and repairing every broken place! You are the Restorer of all that is lost, the Healer of broken hearts, and Redeemer from all sin! Lord, I praise You for I stand complete in Christ before You today!
