REPOST My son didnt come from a 2 parent home. He came from an apparent home. It was apparent that he say yes maam and no maam; yes sir and no sir. It was apparent that I didt spare rod or spoil the chile, I used a rod, a switch, a limb or I just plain jacked him. It was apparent that, he didnt have it made, nor did he have a maid, he had to clean his own room, do dishes, laundry, mow the yard and work real hard. It was apparent that he didnt get an allowance, I allowed him to stay in the house, but he did get paid for work not chores. Pa-leeze!! You wish I would pay you for cleaning your own room and washing your own tighty whiteys. Aint happenin!!! It was apparent that he had to work at a young age to get the extras that he wanted. So at age 12 he worked in his Grandmothers hair Salon, Ebony and Ivory (Norman, Ok); at age 14 he worked at Cobb Beauty College, Kennesaw, Georgia, sweeping floors after school and practice, washing and folding towels. Yes, he missed out on a lot of things he could have really benefited from in a healthy 2 parent home. But apparently, he turned out okay. I love you Son and I know growing up was a rough ride----but GOD!!! I am so proud of the young man you are and the Man of God you are becoming. Stay fierce!! Keep the faith!
