REQUIREMENTS: Historical characters - 14 practices Other characters - 27 practices, lead roles may require additional practices Prompters/Understudy – 17 practices Mic, Sound - 14 practices (same as historical characters) Light Technicians - 8 practices Excused Absences – other school activities and illnesses- not haircut or birthdays Detentions – Students may receive up to a 15 minute detention after practice for handling other characters’ props or inappropriate behavior. Lettering - Students must accumulate a total of 30 hours to letter by attending practices and/or assisting by filling in for absent actors, distributing posters downtown, creating the t-shirt design, folding programs, or any tasks needing completed. Performances do not count towards lettering. Students will sign in at their arrival to practice and sign out before leaving. Students will not letter if they quit or are removed from the play at any time; ineligible for performances; or intentionally alter the play during any performance. Cast Party – The cast party is after Saturday’s performance. Students who intentionally alter the play during any performance will not attend the cast party. Students lack of commitment or a bad attitude can lead to losing their part.
