*RESULT* Sunday Div 1 won this morning 4-2 against Athletico FC. After about 20 minutes QUTFC made their early dominance count. QUTFC had been showing decent build up play but could not get that critical final pass to the striker, however when the first true opportunity fell to a QUTFC player, it was expertly finished by Lany Aryan. QUTFCs lead was doubled courtesy of a strike from Tom Connolly who swiveled before firing low and hard, leaving the goalkeeper from Athletico with no chance. Not long after Kevin Chen extended the lead with a nice run before cutting in and finishing at the near post. Kevin Chen could not be kept out the action, and a few minutes later he scored an incredible goal that made David Luizs free-kick against Colombia look average. At the Half, QUTFC lead 4-0. The 2nd half was rather uneventful for the first 15 minutes. On about the hour mark, Athletico FC grabbed one goal back via a tap in. QUTFC were left shocked that they had conceded considering it was one of the first attempts on target from Athletico. About 5 minutes later, Athletico grabbed another goal back via a bullet header. The game was end-to-end until full-time. QUTFC had a chance to kill it off and score a 5th, the best chance fell to Tom Connolly via a Cam McCall cross, Toms volley was saved via a reflex save which was parried onto the bar by the keeper. Cam McCall and Jasmeet Dhanota were solid and efficient on debut for QUTFC. Andre Dominguez and James Smith had a solid game in defence. James Muir should also receive credit for a number of key saves he made in the 2nd half. QUTFC were relieved to hold on in the end. The win helps keep Sunday Div 1 in the top 2 and set up a top of the table clash next weekend against Winning Eleven... #QUTFOOTBALL
