RETAIL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (CL) Reporting to: Retail Systems Manager SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd., is recruiting for a Retail Systems Administrator at its Distribution Centre, located in Olifantsfontein PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The purpose of the Retail Systems Administrator is to provide a Retail Systems implementation and support function to our Retailers. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Attend to and resolve all IT calls relating to Hardware and Software. • Attend to System Upgrades, rollouts and store openings. • Manage the IT Scanning & SIGMA System conversion projects. • Advise Retailers on the effective use of Retail Systems • Provide training to Retailers & Operators at stores. • Implement and monitor systems and control checklists at Retail. • Guide, encourage and assist retailers to make use of their IT Systems. • Ensure required administrative duties are performed. • Manage all IT related Project work at Retail. • Manage 3rd Party Supplier Systems Implementations at Retail. • Troubleshoot and resolve system related problems / issues at Store level. • Complete system audits at store level. • Implement & maintain existing & new system standards at Retail. • Maintain a close working relationship with Retailers and encourage them to adopt and implement systems effectively through great communication skills. • Be willing to work weekends and perform after hours stand by duties as and when needed or requested to do so. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE • Matric • A+ and N+ Qualification • Project Management / Training Skills Advantageous • At least 2 to 3 Years of experience as a Retail Systems Administrator • Working knowledge of MS Server / Desktop Systems • Hardware, Software & Network Infrastructure Implementation & Maintenance Skills • 2-3 Years Field Service Support • Pastel Accounting Experience Advantageous • Good FMCG Retail business knowledge • Excellent knowledge of SPAR Retail Systems • Team Player • Good Interpersonal skills • Must be able to work under pressure & meet Project deadlines • Must be able to travel long distances & spend time away from home. • Good Communication Skills (written & verbal) • Must be able to perform Change Management • Must be able to work unsupervised • Good Analytical & Decision Making Skills SPAR North Rand is an equal opportunity employer.
