RETROSPECTIVE: I stayed in #friendships and relationships longer than I shouldve because I thought I was suppose to be #loyal, extend unconditional #love, and of course I didnt want to hurt the other person by walking away. I even had people to attack my #character because I made the decision to do what was best for me. I allowed #people to remain in my life beyond the expiration date. Like all items that has reached expiration, they were rancid and me sick, emotionally and mentally, literally draining me of #life. What I learned is loyalty doesnt mean allowing yourself to be taken advantage of and unconditional love requires mutual #respect. And, those that attacked my character had been under minding my integrity all along. I would encourage you to assess why are you holding on to the people that you are. If you are doing more to maintain the #relationship than enjoying it, then it requires exploration. If the bad times out weigh the good times, the relationship may has run its course and may be close to expiration. ~Deondriea Cantrice #lifelessons
