RIP Astérix aka Kitten No 1994-2014. You were the companion of a lifetime, with me since I was 25. And I have to believe in kitty nirvana and that you are there now, with lots of rough surfaces to rub up against, all the doors are open and all the bags and boxes are just the right size for you to curl up in. When I brought Kitten home, he could barely fit in my hand, and he had such farting fits that Jack Lund wanted to call him Fahrfurgkitty. He was always quick to jump in the lap of a guest who was wearing black pants and allergic to him, and he even charmed a smile out of my mother when she came to visit. And whether he was playing with Pavlovs fluffy tail, a hapless gecko or a bit of crackly tape, his demands for love and scritches were insistent and rarely denied. I love you, Kitten No. You were such a good boy and always mamas favorite.
