RIP Mike Nichols. Okay, it isnt a rest and the concept of peace does not apply to a dead guy. But hes gone and thats sad, maybe only because it makes me that much more aware of my own mortality and everything is about me. 83 years is not a bad run, and I think he had a pretty good ride. Ill raise a glass to his life and achievements after the sun clears the yard arm. So long, Mike. The skit I wanted to find is the nurse skit. In that one he tells his mother that he is going to be a nurse. Then they both crack up and laugh for a very long time. That was so the way it was back then. Anyway, I couldnt find that skit, so... this is the kind of thing I remember Mike Nichols for. Ive met a mother like this one.
