RIP (at last) Robin Williams . One of the reasons why some of us have been historically worried about declaring depression is the never being trusted with an opinion again. My disabilities have been seen as both physical and hidden, but it was only when under extreme health and personal pressure that I had to reveal I am a manic depressive, and then attitudes closed up against me in areas, and at times where I should have expected support! (One was VERY close to my work). In a case like Robin Williams, the added baggage of celeb and media crucifixion must be intolerable. Its a time for sad reflection on our stance on mental health.
