***ROADWORKS*** ♦Tues 3rd Dec, Colliers Ave will close for works between 9:30am 4:30pm. Diversions will be in place. ♦Works will take place on Blackthorn Avenue, Sandyford on Tues 3rd Dec from 6am to 1pm. The left hand lane will be closed off and a traffic management plan will be in place. ♦A new traffic scheme has been implemented in the St. Stephen’s Green area as part of the Luas Cross City works. The new system has two right turning lanes on to Merrion Row from the green and one left turning lane continuing around the St Stephens Green. Another major change is at the diagonally opposite corner of the green, the creation of a new turn from St Stephen’s Green South onto the west side of the green. Traffic taking this new turn will cross the existing Luas line and then run parallel with the line as far as York Street. This turn allows motorists access to the Royal College of Surgeons and St Stephen’s Green car parks, or they can continue on to Mercer Street and take Noel Purcell Walk to access Drury Street and the car parks in that area. ♦Today and tomorrow there will be limited access on the Old Swords Rd (R132) at Collinstown Lane between 7pm and 4:30am due to works, which are part of the R132 Upgrade Scheme. Diversions will be in place. ♦Works will take place on Charles St Great until Fri 6th Dec. Expect delays and approach with care. ♦A stop/ go system will be in place on Dominick St Upper at the Mountjoy St Jct from 7am to 7pm daily until Fri 6th Dec. Outside these hours temporary traffic lights will be in operation. This is part of the Luas cross city project. ♦New Wapping St is closed for works between the junctions of Sheriff St Upper and Mayor St Upper until Sat 14th Dec. Local access will be maintained. ♦The car park at Shankill station is closed to facilitate works until the end of February 2014. ♦A temporary closure is in place on Castlepark Rd between its junction with Barnhill Rd and Breffni Rd until 20th December. A traffic management plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained. ♦Railway Street is closed to through traffic until until 24th Jan 2014 to facilitate works. Traffic will be diverted via Sean McDermott Street and Foley Street. Local access and pedestrian access will be maintained.
