ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH - To those that have a heart to receive and understand the Word of God, it is clear that the Roman Catholic Church is the Great Whore referred to in the Revelation. Among all the Cults, there are few that have changed over the years as much as this one. The Word of God never changes. For true born-again Christians, their beliefs and doctrine are the same today as in the times of Jesus, but not for the Roman Catholics. It is written Heb 13:8-9 Jesus Christ the same YESTERDAY, AND TO DAY, AND FOR EVER. Be not carried about with DIVERS and STRANGE DOCTRINES. A person can talk with hundreds of Catholics including priests and find that most have never read their Bible cover to cover and seldom take their Bible to church. A person is saved by faith (or trust) in Jesus Christ. Faith can only come from God ’s Word - ref Rom 10:17. A person’s faith cannot exceed their knowledge and understanding of the Bible. Little Bible, little faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God - ref Heb 11:6. All that practice sin shall perish. How is it that multitudes of priests molest children and yet continue in the church? Why are the priests that commit such abominable acts not thrown out? They are absolutely not saved and cannot be walking with God? Warning— Matt 15:14 it is written, Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. They both shall perish. The Roman Catholic Church is just one of many cults that claim to be the true church. All anyone has to do is research the history of the church in the Dark Ages. They will be astonished at what they will find. The history of the church includes the murder of multitudes and unspeakable sin. Its doctrine and policies have changed so much over the years, but the Word of God never changes. Our recommendation is that if you want the truth, get into your Bible and read the Gospel of John three times, about 5 or more chapters a day. Then begin with Matthew and read through the entire New Testament including the Revelation. Always seek God in prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for understanding before reading. Put away preconceived thoughts and just read what the Bible says. You can see for yourself the practices of the Catholic Church and what you are reading in the Bible do not go together. Once you have done this and God has opened your understanding, you have but one choice. Rev 18:4-5 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Further, it is written, 2 Cor 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Reportedly, Archimedes said that given a long enough lever and a fulcrum far enough out of the world, he would be able to lift the world. One cannot lift a barrel by remaining in the barrel. It is necessary to first get out, then the barrel can be lifted. It was not Lot that made the impact living in sin-ridden Sodom. It was Abraham, the separated believer-ref Gen 14. The Bible is clear. The Roman Catholic Church is not going to turn to God ’s Word, repent, and change. The Doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, however, does change and will continue to change, bringing in more and more damnable Heresies CATHOLIC CHURCH HERESIES - FAST FACTS A.D. 310 A.D. - Prayers for the dead were introduced 320 A.D. - The lighting of candles 375 A.D. - The worship of saints, about 365 394 A.D. - The Mass was adopted 432 A.D. - The worship of Mary began to develop 500 A.D. - Priests began to assume distinctive robes 593 A.D. - The Doctrine of Purgatory was introduced 600 A.D. - Worship in Latin was mandated (since repealed) 606 A.D. - Claims to Papal Supremacy took root 607 A.D. - Boniface III made first Pope 650 A.D. - Feasts in honor of the Virgin Mary began 709 A.D. - Kissing the Pope’s foot 786 A.D. - Worshipping images and relics 850 A.D. - Use of holy water begun 995 A.D. - Canonization of dead saints 998 A.D. - Fasting on Fridays and during Lent 1003 A.D. - Feasts for the dead were introduced 1074 A.D. - Celibacy of the priesthood 1076 A.D. - The dogma of Papal infallibility was announced 1090 A.D. - Prayer beads 1140 A.D. He abolished the index of forbidden books. He demoted a whole host of saints who had been canonized, revered, and prayed to by the church previously. A 138-page papal document (officially referred to as an apostolic exhortation was issued. Pope John Paul II in December dismissed the widespread idea that one can obtainforgiveness directly from God. 1 John 1:9 clearly states, IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS, AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. 20??What is next????? Nearly every item on this list can be shown to be contrary to God ’s Word. If you want the truth our recommendation is to get into your Bible and read the Gospel of John three times, about 5 or more chapters a day. Then begin with Matthew and read through the entire New Testament including the Revelation. Follow that by reading the entire Bible, Genesis to the Revelation. Always seek God in prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for understanding before reading. The Roman Catholic Church for centuries banned the Bible from the laity, burned it, and persecuted those who loved it. Roman Catholics today are permitted to look upon Protestants as separated brethren. Rome’s understanding of such things as grace, confession, regeneration, baptism, etc. is much different than that of a born-again Christian. They use the same terms, but their meaning is not the same. The seven means of saving grace contained in the Sacraments—Infant Baptism, First Communion, Mass, Confession, Marriage, Extreme Unction, and Ordination—have no true biblical authority. Jesus commands that the Revelation be taught in the church. It is written, Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things IN THE CHURCHES. There is a special blessing for those that read and hear the Revelation-ref Rev 1:3. When was the last time any Catholic heard their priest teaching the entire Revelation? Some may make excuses and say it is only symbolism. To the blind or the unsaved, it may be only symbolism; however, to the born-again Christian it is an open book-ref Rev 22:10, one that can be understood. This is further confirmed as we read in Daniel, Dan 12:10 NIV But the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. 1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man (or man without the Spirit-the unsaved) receiveth not (or does not accept) the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them (or understand), because they are spiritually discerned. Some may ask, how can this vast religion be so biblically wrong and considered a cult? To much of the world, religions such as Hinduism, Islam, Yoga, and others are not considered cults—however, they are in light of the Word of God, which shall judge all things. It is written, John 12:48 ...THE WORD that I have spoken, the same shall JUDGE him in the last day. The Roman Catholic Church has strayed so far from the Bible that it is referred to as the GREAT WHORE in the Revelation. To love you is to tell you the truth. To keep silent and let people perish is not love. The fact is that many Catholics have left the Roman Catholic Church and surrendered their lives to the Jesus of the Bible by trusting in Him and Him alone for their salvation. I believe many reading this article know someone that has done so and became born-again-ref John 3:3—a concept the Catholic Church does not understand. Five Over Rome is reportedly an excellent book in comparing the errors of the Roman Catholic Church with the Bible. - See more at: so4j/cults-and-false-religions#cults_false_teachings_list
