ROSEMARIE IS IN LOVE... THE ROSE.. the melody is quite dull, but the lyrics bespeak of romance and describes Love in another inspiring sense-- poetic, sentimental, spine chilling sensation a call to love.. I agree to the song review written as follow: xxxx This presentation was done just because...it is not expected to be a presentation of greatness, but a way to portray a bit my thoughts as I know this song....the singing is not great but heartfelt. Obviously the song is not my own and I do not claim to have any rights to it. The hub is my own and I hope you enjoy reading it. Most everyone has heard The Rose as sung by Bette Midler. The song was written by Amanda McBloom & as title track to the 1979 movie of the same name, starring Bette Midler. The movie was loosely based on the life of songwriter Janis Joplin who died of drug overdose. But, The Rose is more than just a song. Of course youve heard the song and the lyrics...but have you really listened to the lyrics? Is it a sad, romantic song or is there more to it? Is it a life lesson? The song starts out by telling you how some people look at love, how they think of it as only something that hurts and destroys...but the song is telling you thats not so, it is something beautiful. The song looks at all the bad things people think of when they think of love...but it goes on to tell you there is something more, something beautiful. Love it is a flower, and you its only seed see the beauty in love? The song says if you are afraid of love and living youll be missing out. Its the heart afraid of dying that never takes a chance ... we have to take chances to find love, even when theres hurt. Its the one who wont be taken who cannot learn to give ... you cant find love if youre not willing to look for it. You cant live unless you try, you have to give love to get love. It goes on to say, yes, its been tough, its been lonely but that doesnt mean you cant find love. Its not just for other people, stop, think ...love is all around you and just when you think its the darkest and love will never find you, a seed begins in your heart and you do find love; far beneath the winter snow hides the seed that with the suns love, in the spring becomes the rose. Just a beautiful song of encouragement and light at the end of the tunnel. Cheering you on and saying everyone gets hurt but dont let it keep you down; when youre knocked down, get back up!
