ROVER DRAMAWERKS ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS The Cupcake Conspiracy by C.J. Ehrlich & Philip J. Kaplan directed by Carol M. Rice Auditions: Sunday, October 26 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 27 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Appointments are required. For an appointment time, please email audition14@roverdramawerks. Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks’ new theatre venue located at 221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Rd. in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center. Brief Synopsis: Max is a timid nebbish who sneaks out on a blind date behind his soon-to-be ex wife’s back and due to a case of mistaken identity at the top of the Empire State Building, he finds himself up to his neck in a terrorist plot involving cupcakes. Really evil cupcakes. His date with the sultry Natasha could be the most exciting night of his life – if he can just foil her plot and, more importantly, keep his wife from finding out! World Premiere! Winner of Rover Dramawerks’ New Play Contest. Roles: 3 or 4 men, 2 or 3 women MAX (late 20s-50 male) - a timid air traffic controller looking for love. NATASHA (20s-30s female) - a beautiful Silesian terrorist looking for an accomplice. Accent necessary. ALVIN (20s-40s male) - a man of many identities, deeply insecure, covers it with bravado. Must have great facility with dialects and be able to change character on a dime. Various accents necessary. SUZIE (20s-40s female) - an assertive hedge fund analyst looking for love. HOTDOG VENDOR / IGNATZ / ARMONESE TERRORIST 1 (any age, male or female) - multi-character role, must be able to become very different people. Various accents necessary. BOUNCER / VINCE / ARMONESE TERRORIST 2 (any age, male) - multi-character role, must be able to become very different people. Various accents necessary. All roles are available.
