RP (SOI) represents Singapore in international competition! Competition include 14 different teams from other Junior Colleagues and Polytechnics. The competition is a culmination of a 12 week Company Program where the students learnt how to incorporate, operate and liquidate a company. The team used their IT skills to create two Android games and a promotional video to support the marketing efforts of their merchandise which they designed themselves. The trainers for the Company program were executives from Barclays Bank and Junior Achievement. For winning the Singapore round, the team will go to Bangkok to represent Singapore and compete at the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Company of the Year Competition from 8 to 12 February. Junior Achievement the organiser of the competition, will fund their air-tickets, accommodation, meals and cultural events/tours. The trainers for the competition were Cynthia Chan and Grace Yap. The team would not have performed so well without the valuable feedback and advice given by fellow colleagues : Gary Chan, Ho Chee Wai, Liew Beng Keat, Ngiam Kee Jang and Yow Hong Kong who took time to participate as judges as part of the team’s preparation for the competition.
