RR Institute of Technology Bengaluru DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RRISE CELEBRATING ENGINEERS DAY About the Competition In the present world, imagination plays a major role in creativity and Engineering implementations. Many marvels are created because of the greatest ideas are represented on papers optimally. With idea of extracting creativities knowledge of the participants specifically on engineering themes, this competition is arranged. Participants will use pencil to sketch their creative idea on themes provided. Date and Timing of the competition Competition is on 16-09-13 (Monday) from 2 pm to 3 pm Registration Registration is open from 11-09-13. Interested students should contact Mr Kumar Byresh, 5th sem ISE or send SMS with Name, usn, Sem, Branch to 9731384835 Rules ⦁ Competition is open to all students of RRIT ⦁ Sketches should be made on theme provided and in pencil of any type only. Using of paint and color are not allowed. ⦁ Sheets for the completion will be provided at the venue. Participants should bring pencil, eraser and shading materials ( if needed) ⦁ Participants should mention their theme selected at the top-center of the sheet ⦁ Only registration number should be mentioned at the right-down side of the sheet. Revealing of personal information of participants will lead to disqualification from the competition Theme Will be displayed on the notice board and conveyed to participants at 11.00 am on 13-09-13 Judging Process and Criteria A distinguished panel, compromising of faculty from different department will judge the competition. The judges will review and score all participants against the following judging criteria ⦁ Clarity in adhering to the theme – should be engineering based ⦁ Effectiveness in Attracting Attention – importance given to technicality ⦁ Artistic Merit – The art work should stimulate and spark ideas about engineering ⦁ Neatness ⦁ Accuracy – All information must be accurate. Advertising commercial brands is not acceptable ⦁ The degree of importance for each judging criteria is at the discretion of the jury. There may also be additional, more specific judging criteria. ⦁ Jury decision is final and all participants should abide to it.
