Bayraktar: Federal Court needs more time to decide on the pretext of al-Maliki The Federal Court is saying they need more time to study and make a decision on the lawsuit filed by Maliki....they state the suit is in the communications phase and it will eventually enter into a plea session that will be established by a date....sounds like they are being either very cautious about how they take care of this issue...or maybe they are purposefully dragging their feet to see how things play out over the next couple of days. Law: Maliki has withdrawn the nomination to challenge Abadi and bless him Commissioning Then right on the heels of the above article comes the idea that Maliki has withdrawn his lawsuit with the Federal Court....more of the Hokey-Pokey motions it seems....claiming that relations between Maliki and Abadi may be close to returning to normal....time heals all wounds....so they say....the handwriting on the wall seems to be screaming at Maliki that too many world leaders are accepting the nomination that has been set forth for Abadi. Proposal to resolve the differences between Arbil and Baghdad on the budget An MP from the Liberal bloc is wanting to see the budget differences between the Kurds and Baghdad resolved....especially that which is centered on energy issues.....insisting that the Kurds be held to exports of 400,000 barrels of oil per day...they also mention the releasing of budget funds to pay the salaries of the regions staff.....someone is going to have to say yes or no to the disputed areas that the Kurds now claim.....Article 140 issues....the biggest of that which includes Kirkuk and its surrounding oil fields.....if the Kurds can keep these fields, then 400,000 barrels per day is probably doable.....keep in mind though too, this is but one Liberal bloc MP who is barking about these issues at this point. U.N. declares ‘Level 3 Emergency’ in Iraq to free up aid Today the UN has declared its highest level of emergency for Iraq in order for aid to be freed up and get on its way to help those in greatest need....this aid will largely be earmarked for those displaced citizens and families that have fled their homes in the wake of terrorist activists in a number of areas of Iraq this summer. Commission approving the budget submitted proposals to resolve the differences between Arbil and Baghdad Again the Parliament, or at least some members are pushing for the Kurds and Baghdad to address issues they have on energy and are also saying that salaries should be paid to Kurd employees as an effort of good faith on the Baghdad government....basically work needs to progress again in these areas.
