Rain: Lets get right to Friday afternoon..thats when we expect the chance of showers to pop up in the Las Vegas Valley. That chance of showers increases overnight into Saturday morning. The closer we get to the event, the more moisture looks like it will fall and the quicker the moisture looks to exit the area. It looks like by midday Saturday, the moisture moves east of us leaving behind a few pop up showers possibly. Models now estimating much more rain that previously thought. Im thinking we could get up to .25 of rain in some areas of the Las Vegas Valley. Wind: Southwest gusts to 35 MPH expected Friday with those gusts dropping down in the late afternoon & evening as the showers pick up. Saturday well see southwest gusts to 25 MPH, decreasing in the afternoon. So, a little less wind than we first expected for Saturday. Sunday northwest breezes to 20 MPH help drop our temperatures. Cool Air: We will still see 96 degrees for Friday..that will still be 6 degrees above average. The cool air we are looking forward to doesnt get here until Saturday & Sunday with highs expected to be in the low 80s.
