*Rain Showers Today* *Snow Possible after 8pm* *MINOR Accumulations of an Inch or Less for Most of Central Virginia* DETAILS – A weather system pushing in from the Ohio Valley will bring is off and on rain showers today and it will be chilly with highs in the lower to middle 40s. As that storm hits the coast it will blow up into a big nor’easter and race toward New England. As the storm develops it will drag down colder air into central Virginia, after 8pm tonight. That will cause a change over from rain showers to light snow during the overnight and into Monday morning’s commute. As far as accumulations go, most of central Virginia will see roughly a dusting to 1” of snow, however, those in Caroline county to the Northern Neck might see 1”-3” of snow. That snow will depart during Tuesday morning and allow for partly sunny skies to return. High on Tuesday will only top out in the upper 30s. Sunny skies are expected for Wednesday with highs in the middle 40s. Partly sunny skies will be with us for Thursday through Saturday with highs in the middle to upper 40s. Some of the long range models hint at another weather system with possible snow for next Sunday, this will be something to watch.
