Rains disrupt normal life in Kashmir Roads inundated; Officials say no immediate flood threat Srinagar, Sep 3: Incessant rains Wednesday disrupted normal life across Kashmir while water logging on Srinagar roads has become a cause of inconvenience for commuters. Local MeT department officials here said the rains are likely to continue till evening. Sky is likely to remain partly cloudy on Thursday with possibility of rains at isolated places across the state, said an official. Reports from old Srinagar said areas including Safa Kadal, Eidgah, Nowshehra, Soura and Ali Jan Road are inundated. Similar reports were received from Gulshan Nagar, Mehjoor Nagar, Gogji Bagh, Wazir Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Rajbagh and Bemina areas here. Most of the important roads, lanes and by lanes in commercial hub Lal Chowk were also submerged due to water logging, thus making the movement of pedestrians difficult. An official of Flood control department said there was no immediate threat of flood. #Muneer
