Rampheles one week tenure as DAs presidential candidate was - TopicsExpress

Rampheles one week tenure as DAs presidential candidate was tantamount to that of Barack Obamas role for the Democrat Party. The well-engineered PR by the media referral to such an occasion as A Historical Event in the chronology of SA history, is an insinuation yet again that the DA has disguised itself as a multiracial party whilst rooted in the belief of a minority rule. The DAs disguised transitional process of choosing a black candidate failed to convince many whites of what could have been arguably the DAs master plan. The pressing question however is; was it not a historical event when DA merged with the ID and forged a coalition with other parties in the Western Cape to take control of the Western Cape? Or is it only historical that a once supposed far leftist has abandoned her ideological beliefs for privileges from neo-liberals and extreme right wingers promising under the table scraps in return for loyalty and mass deception. Speaking from my own personal capacity, whilst many black folks in the DA saw this as a political break-through I observed a lot of resentment and windging from whites. I sensed a lot of disappointment and mixed reactions from many black hopefuls but unfortunately the DA does not have capable black leaders to run for president so disillusioned Ramphele was chosen in the worst candidate list, and she emerged victorious without an effort. The DAs electioneering stunt of choosing a black leader rather than approaching the progressive system of an electoral process or openly proposing a coalition with Agang worries me, she was selected not elected. The misconception or false belief that black people will be beguiled to vote DA because a ballot paper appears to have a black figure head is entirely sophism, an intelligent stunt which would have been conclusively meant to deliberately deceive the masses. I would personally encourage Ramphele to reconsider her position in the political sphere or revisit her ideological belief of reassessing the plight of black struggles and doing something about it, BC.
