Randall, On Thursday, we broke through a Republican - TopicsExpress

Randall, On Thursday, we broke through a Republican filibuster on our bill to extend unemployment benefits to more than 2.5 million Americans, setting up a vote on final passage early next week. This is a huge step forward -- but there is still work to be done to push our unemployment bill across the finish line. With Speaker Boehner and many House Republicans still standing in the way, we’ve got to keep fighting in order to get this bill passed and signed into law. In the meantime, our campaign is facing a big end-of-quarter fundraising deadline at midnight Monday -- and were still $5,945 away from our $10,000 grassroots goal. This is a crucial opportunity to show any potential opponents and outside deep-pocketed super PACs that were ready to withstand their attacks. But I need your help to show that strength. Please contribute $5 to my campaign today -- before Mondays midnight deadline -- to help us reach our $10,000 grassroots goal and finish the quarter strong. Ive seen it over and over: You can’t take anything for granted. You have to take every election seriously. Thats true in our fight to extend unemployment benefits to 2.5+ million Americans, and its true with our campaign. We can never give up. Every day, I do my best to work for common-sense solutions to the big challenges facing our country. I hope youll continue to stand with me as we tackle these critical issues.
