Randall Wallace of Braveheart and Secretariat fame spoke at Liberty U. Today. I never knew: A) He considers himself a Lynchburg native B) They hired Irishmen to portray Scottish warriors for Braveheart. They needed less makeup. C) The first time they filmed Mel Gibsons freedom speech, the Irish got caught up in the moment and decided to really charge. Apparently several were supposed to flee the field ... according to the script.
