Random topic....Family values still a priority today?! One thing that I always focused on in our household was that wed always sit at the dinner table for supper for that was the only true social time we would get together and with our son forcing us to communicate that seems to be lacking today with all the distractions. I liked to ask the question so what was your high moment and what was your low moment of your day... usually my sons low moment was going to school and high moment getting out of school, haha, but I still asked...sometimes hed surprise me and give me some really good ones and sometimes it was simply a boring day without high or low to report, it just was and those days were just ok. I also instilled a rule in our household that we would never leave without saying that we loved each other; oh sure, we might not have liked each other at that moment, but even still, never parted without the words for I never wanted the last words spoken to be out of anger for you just never know when God decides to take us. I remember my son darting out of the house because he was late for school and he didnt say those words that I loved to hear, but in just a moment I heard the door and a shout of I LOVE YOU MOM and then he was off, my day was then complete. How many of you still instill in your household the values of spending a moment each day with each other one-on-one? say those words that you need to take time to say? Just take a moment? I see so many family values declining in the household and it truly is disheartening. Dont take the time you have for granted for one can only live in the present.
