Random thought of the day: Two-digit numbers are reversed in German (e.g. neun-und-zwanzig) relative to English (e.g. twenty-nine) or French (vingt-neuf); however, syllable stress is on the least significant digit (e.g. neun/nine/neuf) in all three languages. Hence, might syllable stress be the more important characteristic than word order in determining digit significance? Foreign language speakers, speak up! :>
