ANNUAL EGYPTIAN FESTIVAL OCTOBER 11TH & 12TH at: THE COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE VIRGIN MARY & ARCHANGEL MICHAEL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, FREE ADMISSION Saturday, October 11th from 11am – 8pm Sunday, October 12th from 11am – 8pm The Coptic Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary & Archangel Michael 87 Benham St. Hamden, CT 06514 Come spend your weekend with the sons and daughters of the pharaohs, and experience Egyptian culture right here in Connecticut at the Annual Egyptian Festival; hosted by the Church of the Virgin Mary & Archangel Michael on Benham St. in Hamden. The Festival is open to the public with Free Parking and Free Admission. It will feature activities such as a bounce castle, face painting and henna, a food court offering native Egyptian cuisine, and a market offering clothing, house wares, groceries, handmade jewelry, and books about the history of the native Coptic people. Tour Guides will be available to discuss the history of Egypt from the Roman Era to the modern times, and help you explore the traditional Coptic architecture and artwork of the facility.
