Twenty fourteen was quite the roller coaster. I buried my father, as did some of you (Stephen Wilder, Sean Parsons, Michelle Glackin Pluhar, Beena David). We moved to another home, as did some of you (Christian Van Horn, Melissa Arning). And we welcomed new life into our family, as did some of you (Lina Perkins Wilder, Rebeccah Suzanne Anderson, Kellie Jenkins Van Horn). All of this among other successes and failures these past twelve months. Im not sure Im stronger, but I am more weathered. In the end, I have my family, my health, and my daily bread. I dont know what twenty fifteen has in store, but Im satisfied knowing I wont need to live twenty fourteen again. It has spoken its piece and will not speak anymore but in my memories.
