Random undefined thoughts from the shade and comfort of Musjid Nabawee -----++----------++---- I spent whatever spare time I had talking and exchanging thoughts and ideas with internationals.I have observed that fellow South Africans seldom do and mostly stick together as a group.I make no negative criticism but purely an observation of lost opportunities for us to get to know and embrace the diversity that unites and serves as a source of strength and empowerment. Its another scorcher in Madina and I am scribbling these randomly undefined thoughts from the shade and comfort of Musjid Nabawee. A relative of mine also on Umrah asked me whether or not I had made ziyarah of the historical sites and,as I had not done so,I replied that I had made ziyarah of internationals such as Abdul Hadebe a Sri Lamkan national who was clued up about SA politics. He was harshly critically of #NkandlaReport and the fact that R246 million was spent from exchange of ideas. Abdul Hadeeb,as I said,found President Zumas monthly salary ,excessive and the allegation that ,after US Ptesident Barack Hussein Obama,he was the second highest earner.Why?Because of the ever widening gap between the rich and poor. So SA is very much under the microscope . Anothe person I had the fleeting opportunity to interact with was a Gambian who was a student at Madina University. We met at the library after Asr yesterday and he too raised similar issues that Abdul Hadeeb also raised. Abdul Hadeeb waa clear on the facts that he gathered and his take ob the judgments in these randomly undefined thoughts. Save to transmit what is out there in the bazaar of public perceptions. Today beimg our Freedom Day as well as Holocaust Day,I thought it prudent that since we go to the polls in under 10 days time,I publish this via social media sites.
