Randy wrote..Just wondering about any vets out there and how they are being treated as far a prosthetics and accessories? I got my leg courtesy of the V.A. And being a disabled vet before my accident I have been treated pretty good . I am having some doubts about my prosthesis man lately as I read more and more posts of people actually being comfortable in their c legs , I had a cast made for my leg , it took the va five months to approve my leg and I put on a few pounds since socket was made , I had to go to a size larger vacuum rubber thing ( idk what to call it ) but my socket was same one , it feels like I am trying to put a quarter in a dime slot , does the contracts fe me the leg and now the va has only extend as far as them giving you the leg ? Or does it pay for x amount of visits ? Of course the va wont give you much info if you ask because frankly only the higher ups know this and are un reachable . Any fellow vets have any answers that may help ? I feel like they gave me the leg and I am very grateful for that but I need some adjusting on it and get told pretty much yeah its gonna hurt like that get used to it idk maybe I am expecting to much but when you find it easier and less painful to go without it , then what was the purpose ?
