In this session, Ravi explains the difference between positive stress- which enhances performance, and negative stress from which one is unable to switch off. Positive stress is that which lasts for a limited period and in pursuit of a specific performance or end result, while negative stress is when a person is unable to relax at all. For a person to be relaxed, there needs to be a balance between a positive stress and a relaxed state.Yoga helps to relax when we dont need to be stressed. It teaches one to be in the present moment. Pranayamas and Asanas are some of the tools of Yoga which help to relax. In an Asana, the mind is brought in contact with the body part being exercised. A Pleasant music in the background helps to focus on the infinite and relax even when the body may be in tension or stress.
