Ray G. Clark Fund Ray Gonzales Clark attended Howard University in 1952 at age twenty-one after serving four years in the Air Force. He received an engineering degree and excelled in his chosen profession but also expanded in the areas of music and real estate. He played flute with an ensemble and purchased the Institute of Musical Art, in Los Angeles, with fellow electrical engineer Oliver Brown. A love for the law would also call him. Three years after enrolling in law school, he graduated, passed the bar exam, and setup private practice. During his thirty-year tenure as a criminal defense attorney, he received national and international accolades for his formidable defense of the “Night Stalker”. Mr. Clark valued education and used his knowledge to expand the world. His favorite saying was Do it now, and that’s how he lived his life. In 2005 he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. On Tuesday, January 7, 2014, he made his transition. To honor his legacy, his family has established a scholarship at Howard University, the Ray G. Clark Engineering Scholarship.
