So after getting word that there was a Pitbull on the corner a few - TopicsExpress

So after getting word that there was a Pitbull on the corner a few minutes from my house reported 3 hours ago, in deeper Detroit. So I say Ill take a look the street, and see if shes there, I wanted food anyways, I was going out. Expecting there to be no chance the dog is still there, I equip myself with my dogs leash and pajama shorts and head out. There is where I was mistaken, because after over 3 hours, the dog was still there. Not chained to anything, just walking around in the snow no further than 20-30 feet. Dog was clearly scared, she wanted me nowhere near her. Even charged at me at one time. So I go across the street and equip myself with some cheese in hopes she warms up to me. She loves the cheese, hates me still. All the while, Chelsea Rose is getting in contact with people who have more experience with this type of thing. I talk to him and he says he can be here in 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Detroit police drives by, even see them in the very first second of the video, and they call for a catch pole. I let them know Im trying to help out d.a.w.g and they say theyd let me take her, because theyre just gonna take her to the pound. They fail at attempting to catch her, they talk to me again and say theyre trying, but shes aggressive, if no one gets her, theyre going to shoot her. I talk them down, tell them there is someone better at this close, and they say they will hold off. As the guy arrives, he gets the catch pole from the police and attempts to hook her. Gets it around her neck and pulls, it doesnt tighten. -_- She then takes off thru the alley, like 2 blocks down, and the guy and police follow the dog. At this point, Ive been in the cold an hour, in shorts, trying to get her near by, the guy says its okay if you wanna head out, youre probably cold. I submit to cold and head home. Currently waiting for word on the result, I really hope he caught up with her and has possession of her. Really saddens me that I couldnt convince to come with me in my warm car with more cheese, and then id take her to some caring folk who could help her. Now how I feel about this..... My BEST guess, is that this girl was dropped off on this corner, because after having lord knows how many litters of puppies, she was no use to the owners anymore. So this poor girl sat there, waiting for the owner to come back. A guy at party store across the street said that the dog was there for over 5 hours. Just think for what reason would a very short hair dog, sit out in the snow in the same spot, for 5 hours? I dont even let my girl out for longer than 3-5 minutes in this kind of weather, and Im in the process of getting her a coat. I followed her tracks, no puppies to be found. She was left there, has to be that reason. People who do this sicken me. Using animals normally bred as pets, arent a source of money for you. Theyre like a child to you now, theyre supposed to be a family member. You are a heartless individual if you can load your dog up, take her far away, and leave her on the corner in this weather. People who are capable of either of these, are scum. You deserve the worst possible punishment, that I wish was mine to handout. Im not a person who says your dog cant have puppies, ever. But I could tell by the condition of her belly, it wasnt the first time. I see people give Chelsea a hard time because she cares so much about her animals in her life. They say Id never do that for my dog, youre crazy. Id never pay $1600+ out of pocket for a surgery for my dog! Well thats what separates her from any of you giving her a hard time. Shes cares more about somethings than others. Shes easily one of the most caring people I know. She has passion for the well being of life in general. No matter what the species. I call people for giving her shit, I do not appreciate it. Its something that you dont understand, so leave it be.
