Ray: I’m learning a lot through painting. First on the learning curve is that God is a million times more incredible that I even imagined. Likeness is amazing. It hides in the eyes. It lies in the tiny curve of a lip. If I struggle to get a likeness, I leave it overnight and I’m amazed that the next day it’s as though I see it through different eyes. I can spot the problem is a second. I wonder how many poor souls have taken their lives at night, when the darkness that surrounded them would have been seen differently in the light of morning. The Christian is never in such darkness, because of the imputable promise of Romans 8:28. We must always keep that light shining. That wonderful promise transcends even death, so we look at everything in the light of eternity. Do that, and you will never be disappointed.
