(Justas Fresh // Tavotėvotėvai). 2014 14a klasė. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> So it was summer, excited for this summer cause I was going to this summer camp, I thought I was going to live the american life for three weeks, I went completely alone, so I was scared, and when I got there, I had my issues at the begining, the cabins were horrible, I mean, the bathroom everyone could open the door, and the shower was only covered by an big towel, everyone could throw you things and see you naked, there were bugs everywhere in the cabin, in the nights I couldn´t sleep cause the guy that slept in my bunk bed was masturbating every night and move my bed all the time, I was 11 at the time and I was at the cabin of 14-16 years old guys,I told the counciler and he didn´t care, so I went with the staff and they didn´t care too they just told me to adapt, so I just stayed there, I was a kid in a cabin with horny teenagers, so I learned a lot of things. If I were a blonde kid with blue eyes, I assure you they would have taken care of this situation, but I was latin, I couldn´t speak too much english and basically they just didn´t care... The activities were awesome, I made lots of friends and everything, the food was delicious, also the library had lots of books, the last 3 days I had a problem with a kid, he was bullying me this kid was my first friend at the camp, but then the cool kids start to talk to him and the rest is history, so one time I was showering and he opened the towel and made that everybody saw me naked, everyone laughed at my face, and then this kid told me he was going to tell everyone at the camp! and I went to the staff and they didn´t make anything, they told me to stop whining, that we had only three days left and that I should enjoy this experience I had. As reward they would give me extra dessert in those last days, if I didn´t make it a scandal so I didn´t know what to do and I agreed, the kid still teased me those last days, and he told me that he got away cause he was american and that I shouldn´t have been in the summer camp cause I was illegal! and that I was poor and I will go back to mexico in a donkey, I mean I went only to USA that summer, I was going back to Mexico and plus my dad makes lots of money, c´mon the kid was using old navy! I was wearing abercrombie, but who cares about that... And he told me I was poor just cause I was mexican. Racism in USA is still very big, and I think we should do something about it, everyone thinks racism is only in two situations, but latin people also have it hard, so finally I had the strength to share my experience like the guy told me.
