(Re)-Sharing this service opportunity for the UCR Community from our friends at March Air Reserve Base VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: On Saturday morning, May 24, a group of us will visit Riverside Evergreen Cemetery in downtown Riverside, CA, at 8 a.m. to place American flags on more than 1,000 veteran gravesites, to inlude the grave of Col Cornelius Cole Smith, a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. We do this every year on Memorial Day and Veterans Day weekends to honor our fellow veterans who have gone before us for their military service and personal sacrifices to our great nation. If you are in the local southern California area and would like to join us this Saturday morning, we would be honored to have you. Evergreen lies at the foot of Mount Rubidoux and was founded in 1872. The address is: 4414 14th St, Riverside, CA 92501.
