Re: Between Personal Scorecard and Political Scorecard. Your first paragraph pleaded that we speak in fear of Allah. I am compelled to that. The clause in quotation of your 2nd line of the opening paragraph is needless, if the truth be told. Your second paragraph would have succeeded without blemish if it had not try to keep faith with the heading of the post. The speaker has done well in his personal commitment! No more,No less. Furthering that anyone else blessed can do same is not objective. Paragraph three is like a sub-head, OK. Four replicates, from a source, what the duties of legislators are. Paragraph 5 and 6 are, to me, a repetition of four: unnecessarily stressed. Seven is pure grudge. From the duties of a legislator, none conforms to the requirement of this paragraph. Power and influence cannot give results where limitations of power, bureaucracy, separation of power etc are in play with paucity of funds that are remnants of corruption. The governor has got to be interested, take Kano for instance. Yax should see all political office holders from Mokwa guilty as charged. The eighth paragraph is pathetic of our plights. I shed tears re-reading it. Mokwa is the most politically vibrant axis in Niger State yet politically most backward in terms of benefits of democracy. Since the days of Kure till date all promises are just downright elusive. The last paragraph I have rewritten thus: With the enormous political opportunities before Mokwa since the birth of the fourth republic, what are the major political strides our political office holders brought to Kin-Mokwa? With all of them in various offices at one time and another, dont you think Kin-Mokwa should now have the attention of the state government. I rest my case!
