Re: Rescheduled Conf Call - My commitment has been cancelled - can now participate in Fridays call Hi Marc, Gwen, Dawn, Leonne - I got a message saying that the meeting at the Labour Hall on Friday is not on, so please include me in the conference call. I want to report back what is decided at the Town Hall on Public Banking and postal services on Saturday in Vernon, BC. The experience of Canada could be very strategic on this point. There is evidence that Canadas government has cancelled door to door delivery under false pretences, with an internal report from Canada Post that said that if financial services were expanded at postal outlets, there would be no need to cancel any services. The government has censored 701 out of 811 pages of this report. It is currently a major topic of citizen organizing across Canada - in support of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers who are holding public town hall meetings to get the essential facts understood by Canadians. > > It would also be good if we could request of the PBI board - that a formal invitation be made to people like David Kay Johnson and Professor Bill Black to assist in creating a code of practice making the criminal code the primary regulative tool of public banks as per securities sales. I would like to contact the above professors, but I would prefer that a formalized ad hoc committee be struck within PBI so that there is something tangible that can be cited when communicating with them. > > Thanks for your reply, > > Alan > > > On 2014-03-19, at 9:10 AM, Marc Armstrong wrote: > >> Hi Public Banking Coalition Call Registrants: >> >> I inadvertently ended the monthly conference call series in February, leading to a great emptiness this past Friday when we should have had the March call.
