Rain will move into the area later this afternoon and hang around overnight into Saturday. Very limited potential for any winter precipitation. Maybe some light snow and sleet when the storm exits the area Saturday night. Next Tuesday, another storm system will be in the area. Earlier indications of heavy snowfall for Southern Illinois have all but vanished. Now there is an icing potential but I wouldnt bet on anything yet.
