Reactions and corrections! I could read unacceptable comments over my team and the way things went during the last race at Izmir. As a team Manager, I would like to reply to those and express my feelings and also to tell about the actual truth. First of all, I want to remind everybody who we are and what we aim to: MT Racing is a team with limited budgets, yet we are proud to work as professionnaly as possible. We are also a young team, indeed we are only finishing our second season and to remind everybody, we were last year in the Junior category. Only after having pushed and having proven with lap times that Sezgin could be in the Inter A category, we have been authorised to compete with expereienced and talentive pilots from this category. Now that I recalled everyone who we are, it is time to let myself go against what has been told. For us, competing with and beside prestigious pilots like Toprak, our friend Tolga that we want to congratulate for his deserved 2013 title, or Yunus who has always been unlucky, yet never complained nor balme anyone else, or all the other pilots who respect rules. When I congratulate Tolga, I also mean ALL his team and their leader Eyup with whom competition is a real pleasure, both teams respect each other and are happy of the others victories. When I always hear excuses or I see a pilot going out during the race as he is not able to compete anymore, then goes back on the track, on purpose to literally bother the leader, playing to pass him and/or neglecting the blue flags and causing confusion to the other members of the competitor teams as he seems to have passed its pilot and therefore ask him to push more and take useless risks. When those always go to find something to complaint about the winner to try to get him disqualified, while himeself is not following rules on the starting grid or what so ever... This turns me mad, and I cannot accept to read that people accuse us of doing things to make our lap times: In this I want to mention the words about the fact that we could only make the fastest lap time because we used special tires and that it is because we have money that Sezgin made this time. It seemed some imagined that if Sezgin only went out for a few laps and came straight back to the paddock it was because we can afford such a tire. Well if instead of accusing and guessing, those would have come and look, they would have seen that I actually stopped Sezgin as soon as he made a good lap in order to SAVE tires, because our budget is limited. This is a normal tire, the same one I had to keep on the bike for the race! Uing a new one was then over our possibilities! Yet I want to be honnest and clearly I would say: if I had the money for it, I would have used such a tire without any hesitation, because it is normal to put all assets in our side and to try to be faster and faster, but never ever we would not respect the rules nor complaint about others results. We always congratualte them and their improvements are our motivation to work harder and get better. Without competition, there is no evolution for nobody. As a conclusion, I will close ALL contacts and refuse any kind of presence of certain people within my area on tracks (they will recognise themselves); I will also instructed my team to act the same way. Please note that, as we have always been, We will remain fully open and happy to assist any other person. That we could have been the fastest, it is not to say we are better, this is expressing our joy and pride to be able to reach for the bests level, even when it is just for a while, because for the high estime and respect we have for such a great pilots. If the people around him are shocked by my comments, I would like to tell those that they are probably not the proper persons to surround a promising champion. It is a real pity for me to feel obliged to write such a comment, but I cannot let anyone ternish our image.
