## Read Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s beyond death life chronology ## 18-08-1945: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died of cardiac failure after severe burn injuries in a flight accident at Taihoku, Formosa – now Taipei, Taiwan. 19-08-1945: INA officer JR Bhonsle denies that Bose has died with the visiting Japanese delegation. His disappearance is being covered up, he says. 23-08-1945: Netaji’s, General Tsunamasa Shidei’s death declared by the Japanese news agency Do Trzei. 14-09-1945: Memorial service held for Netaji at Tokyo and ashes returned to Renkoji Temple of Nichiren Buddhism in Tokyo where they remain even now. September, 1945: ”Subhas Bose has died well. He was undoubtedly a patriot, though misguided,” writes Mahatma Gandhi to Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, who later worked as Independent India’s first health minister, also headed WHO. Netaji openly fought with Gandhi over the methods of fighting the British. Spring 1946: Lakshmi Sahgal, of the Rani Jhansi Regiment of INA says that Netaji is in China as per her knowledge. 25-08-1946: Colonel John Figgess, ordered to inquire Bose’s death by Lord Mountbatten submitted report that existing information on Bose’s death is true. He confirmed that Bose had died in Formosa in 1945. 1948: Rumored to have attended Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation. 1950′s: Several tales of sighting Bose circulated. 1956 Shah Nawaz Committee: MP, former INA member Shah Nawaz Khan, SN Maitra, ICS, Suresh Chandra Bose, Netaji’s brother were members of this committee. While the other two members submitted a final report confirming Bose’s death, Suresh Bose refused it and went on to accuse that Nehru’s government formed the committee with the view to conclude Bose’s death in the flight accident and the Bengal government has put pressure on him to sign it. “Subhash Bose cannot die before India has achieved independence,” felt Suresh Bose. 1960′s: Chief Sadhu of Shaulmari Ashram, North Bengal is believed to be Netaji in disguise, He denies the reports time and again. His new name is said to be Srimat Saradanandaji. He is known to be practicing herbal medicine, credited with finding cure to tuberculosis. 1966: Bose’s brother, Suresh Chandra Bose announced that Subhash will make a public appearance in March. It did not happen. 1974: Justice Khosla Report: Ordered in 1970, confirms Bose’s death, calls all contrary reports politically motivated. 1970-80′s: Several photos of Bose in Chinese Red Army, Soviet Gulag surfaced, none proved accurate. 1979: Samar Guha, Parliament member releases a photo believed to be of Netaji. Later revealed to have been a doctored image of Bose himself and his brother Sarat Chandra Bose. Guha accused later that Nehru had full knowledge of truths behind Netaji’s disappearance. 1999: MK Mukherjee Commission appointed: Report submitted in November 2005, tabled in Parliament on May 17th, 2006, the report says that the plane clash accounts could not be verified, that there was a secret plan to arrange Bose’s escape to Russia, which was known to Japan and to INA members like Habibur Rahman. Said to be Bose’s ashes, the remains at Renkoji Temple, Tokyo, are not of Bose, but of a Japanese soldier called Ichiro Okura, declares the report. The report was rejected by the Indian Parliament. Mukherjee stood by his report despite it’s Parliament rejection. 10-08-2014: Subhash Chandra Bose’s name revealed to be in the list for soon to be announced Bharat Ratna awardees. Bose’s family members demand to clarify his death mystery first.
